Miramid® is BASF’s new polyamide brand with tailor-made service for special customer requests. Components made of Miramid® remain brilliant in terms of color, shape and durability. Thanks to the individual color service, small-volumes can be produced so that customers can be on the cutting edge of the fashion trends. After all, BASF Leuna delivers tailor-made colors and special types quickly and precisely, even in small quantities.
The Miramid® product range lends itself for processing by injection molding and extrusion (special application). It encompasses reinforced and unreinforced PA 6 and PA 66 grades as well as special types (blends) on the basis of PA 66/PA 6. Special compounds for galvanization, laser printing and for processing by means of gas-injection techniques round off this variety of products. Miramid® is produced and sold by BASF Leuna GmbH, a 100%-subsidiary of BASF headquartered at the chemical site in Leuna in Eastern Germany.
