The applications in which phenomena of friction, creeping and wear between parts in relative motion are multiple: gears, bench supports, cams, pins, sliding surfaces etc.
The materials traditionally employed in the realization of this type of product have always been metal and ceramic.
The family of self-lubricating thermoplastics, has reached nowadays a such completeness as to be able to guarantee the substitution of metal and ceramic from the majority of items destined to resist to friction and wear, so offering considerable advantages in terms of cost, ease of assembly, ease of realization and flexibility in design.
Suited for offering extraordinary performances at high and low speed, high and low fixed loads and for uses that involve elevated mechanical stress, whether static or dynamic.
Optimized solutions for wear resistance are offered thanks to formulations that allow reduced friction coefficients, whether static or dynamic.
For each requirement, a concrete solution without losing sight of other standard design requirements: dimensional stability for conformity to tolerances, mechanical, thermal and chemical resistance and cost.
