NILIT acquires FRISETTA Polymer
June 20, 2007 - NILIT, with a dominant position in the global market for the production of nylon 6.6 polyamide fibers and polymers, signed an agreement with the Rueb family to acquire FRISETTA Polymer in Utzenfeld and its subsidiary Recom, in Wehr - both in Germany.FRISETTA Polymer’s product range rallies PA 6.6 (FRIANYL A) and PA 6 (FRIANYL B) resins as well as recompound 6.6 ones (FRIANYL ARX) mainly for injection moulding applications. These engineering thermoplastics combine good mechanical, electrical and chemical properties in a multitude of viscosities, reinforcements, charges and lubrications. The company is for example strong in colorated self-extinguishing materials with american homologation (UL Yellow card) and is aiming to grow the share of speciality compounds, such as powder coatable.
